Harris-Hillman School Technology Lab
In the Technology Lab, our primary focus is to use adapted technology to bridge accessibility gaps and to make education accessible and enriching for all of our students. We invest a lot of time finding and creating affordable accessible technology solutions for our students, staff, families and caregivers. That is how we came up with the name "Common Cents Adaptable Tech". Either live in a class setting or a virtual setting, we continuously explore new technological avenues of learning for all of our students and work to discover the best access points so that each one can reach their full potential.
How are we facing a global pandemic? We are facing this new concept of distance and blended learning head on by continuing to follow our guiding principles of adapting technology to bridge accessibility gaps. These gaps are not only experienced by our students, but now also their families and educators.

Harris-Hillman School
A highly trained, caring and dedicated staff offers school curriculum based programming designed to meet the individual needs of each student. Our school's academic curriculum, based on state standards and individual prevocational skill development, incorporates sensory stimulation, acquisition of self help skills, communication training, socialization and gross and fine motor development.
Harris-Hillman School is a public school in Nashville TN. Since opening in 1975 it has served students with multiple disabilities and dual diagnoses ages 3 to 21. The majority of our students require daily nursing services in order to attend school. This care is provided by nurses from the Metro Nashville Public Health Department.
We also have blended Pre-K classrooms that provide opportunities for students with special needs to learn along with typical peers.
